Biography
Randall J. Boyle -- received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Florida State University in 2003. He also has a master's degree in Public Administration and a B.S. in Finance.
His research areas include deception detection in computer-mediated environments, the effects of IT on cognitive biases, the effects of IT on knowledge workers, and e-commerce. His current research projects focus on Information Assurance, IT Innovation Lifecycles, and Group Support Systems.
He has received the college teaching award at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the Marvin J. Ashton Teaching Excellence Award, LDSSA Excellence in Education Award, and the Sigma Chi Distinguished Teacher Award at the University of Utah. He has taught a wide variety of classes including Information Security, Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Analysis and Design, Decision Support Systems, Web Servers, and Intro MIS courses.
