Biography

Professor Botosan earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1995. Professor Botosan's research examines the determinants and market consequences of corporate reporting strategy. A particularly important focus of her research is the association between disclosure and cost of equity capital. Her research in this area earned the 1996 American Accounting Association (AAA) Competitive Manuscript Award and the 2001 AAA Notable Contributions to Accounting Literature Award. Professor Botosan has over twenty publications in top academic journals and practitioner oriented venues. Professor Botosan teaches Financial Reporting and Analysis and has received several awards for teaching excellence.
