Summer 2014

Teaching Philosophy

I teach a combination of didactic, service, and experiential learning methods in each course and emphasized experiential learning in each class session.  Two of the three courses I teach each Semester are designated as Service Learning.  I am a proponent of focusing on Bloom's Six Educational Objectives and stress assessment and learning that addresses knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. Each course emphasizes not only visual and auditory learning, but also focuses on kinesthetic learning.
