Biography

Karin Fladmoe-Lindquist is an Associate Professor of Management in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. She received her Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota (1991), a M.Planning in Planning and Public Administration from the University of Minnesota, and a B.S. in Planning from Michigan State University. She teaches courses which focus on business and corporate strategy, as well as global business. In 1998, she received the Graduate Award for Teaching Excellence and the Doctoral Faculty teaching award in 2000. Her research interests are in global strategy, competitive dynamics, and corporate social and political strategy. Her articles have appeared in Management Science, Organization Science, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and Advances in Strategic Management, Strategic Management Journal and California Management Review. She has lived in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Switzerland, and has been in Utah since 1990.
